Popular Farmers Market to Relocate
The Hartford Courant reports that a public hearing on the Coventry Farmers Market's relocation proposal will continue on Jan. 4.
A well-attended public hearing held Monday night about the possible relocation of the Coventry Farmers Market will continue on January 4, the Hartford Courant reports.
According to the Courant, the market has been forced to relocate from its home of the last four years, the Hale Homestead, after a new contract with owner Connecticut Landmarks could not be reached.
The market is now seeking a special permit to continue at 307 Silver St., and residents spoke for and against the farm's relocation at the Planning Commission hearing, the Courant reports.
