Icy Conditions Slip Up School Buses

Fire Chief and Director of Public Safety John Littell said that two buses were involved in icy incidents this morning.

Two Tolland buses were involved in minor accidents early Wednesday morning due to slippery conditions, said Fire Chief and Director of Public Safety John Littell.

The two incidents took place near South River Road and Walbridge Hill Road. Littell said that one bus made contact with a utility pole, but that no one was injured in either accident.

Fire Department officials contacted the parents of the involved students. Littell said that buses were delayed until Highway Department crews spread salt on the roads.
