Tolland Resident Honored for Engineering Excellence

Craig Stambaugh, pictured at left, was recently recognized as a Distinguished Engineer of the Year by the Hartford Chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). 

Stambaugh, a resident of Tolland, works in Engine Systems at UTC Aerospace in Windsor Locks, CT, and was honored by ASME for his long time work as the chief engineer of the propulsion system for the Pratt & Whitney-designed F135 engine. 

Pictured with Stambaugh is, at right, Robert Slack, UTC Aerospace director of Engineering for Engine Systems, who presented the ASME award to Stambaugh.
