A Moment in Tolland History: Prominent Tolland Residents

Do you recognize these well-known Tolland residents from local history?

From Town Historian Barbara Cook:

Luther Barnard, Bertha Place and Emery Clough were all prominent in the community and the Congregational Church Sunday School in the mid-twentieth century. Barnard was Superintendent of the Sunday School, Miss Place, also a Sunday School teacher and Superintendent,  was “Postmistress” at the post office in her home at 55 Tolland Green. Emery Clough was sexton of the Church and was the town Tax Collector for many years.
