'Cause You've Got To Have Friends...

Friends of the Tolland Public Library meet today, as does the water commission. The PZC holds a unique Tolland Village Area workshop. Also, we recap some of the weekend's stories.

• After the heavy downpours of rain of yesterday and this morning, later today will feel like a reprieve with partly cloudy skies opening up to sun, with a high predicted in the upper-30s. The forecast calls for 20-30 mph winds.

• The Friends of the Tolland Public Library will meet at 11 a.m. in the Library Program room. Members of the public are invited to attend to find out how they can help support the library. The Friends purchase items outside of the regular library budget, as well as sponsor book discussions, author talks and events, such as sportswriter of ’01-’06 from his book “Bird at the Buzzer,” this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

• The in the 6th Floor Council Chambers of Hicks Municipal Center at 6:30 p.m. On tap for tonight’s meeting—a staff report on the Connecticut Department of Public Health Sanitary Survey Response.

• Tonight, the Planning and Zoning Committee is holding a special . Last November’s produced extremely helpful feedback that has enabled a 3-D computer model to be produced of a depiction of a Tolland Village Area. That and more will be presented at the 7:30 p.m. workshop at The Lodge at Crandall on 124 Cider Mill Rd. Stay tuned later in the day for more on what residents can expect at the workshop.
