DEEP Honors Tolland Residents

Conserving Tolland founder Roseann Kellner Gottier and State Rep. Bryan Hurlburt were recognized for their contributions to conservation.

Tolland residents Roseann Kellner Gottier and State Rep. Bryan Hurlburt (D) were awarded CT Greenways Council Awards in recognition of their dedication to conservation, according to a press release from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Gottier received a special achievement award for , which has helped preserve 1,300 acres of open space in Tolland. In the press release, the group was credited with motivating land preservation efforts in other towns.

State Rep. Bryan Hurlburt (D), who represents Tolland, Ashford and Willington, received the state government acievement award for his work preserving greenways and open space in Tolland County.

The award winners were recognized last week at a ceremony at the Firehouse on the Steele Brook Greenway in Watertown.
