It's Virtually Winter—and Almost Friday!

Virtual bowling at the senior center, job interviewing program and a Pizza PJ story time at the library, an extra night of the Holiday Lights Tour and the inspiration of Rachel's Challenge at TMS

It's time to step into virtual reality again at the senior center today. Join in on a  class at 9 a.m. Swing by again at 1 p.m. for some  on the Wii video game system.

For those out in the job search trenches, interviewing can be the scariest part of the process. To feel more confident and better armed to answer interview questions and to brush up on interviewing etiquette, come to the public library's free program, , at 10:30 a.m.

Today is your last day to drop of new, unwrapped toys at the post office for the 2010 Toys for Tots campaign. Collecting on behalf of The Greater CT Area Local American Postal Workers Union, gifts will be distributed through the U.S.M.C. Reserve.

Because of wintry weather conditions on Dec. 10 and 12, Santa and the Tolland Fire Department's Holiday Lights Tour are . Tonight, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the route takes Santa and his brightly lit, animated fire truck escort from the Crestwood Rd.-Hilltop Rd. area to the Willow Creek Drive - Charlotte Drive area.

High school students and parents are invited to an evening presentation of Rachel's Challenge, at 6:30 p.m. in the Tolland Middle School auditorium. This motivational program, inspired by the life of Rachel Scott, the first person killed at the Columbine High School tragedy, is intended to inspire attendees to create positive change in their school and community through acts of kindness and compassion.

Younger kids might enjoy a little reading, relaxation and 'roni—pepperoni, that is. Children, ages 2 and up, are invited to  at the library. The free program runs 6:30 p.m.-7 p.m.
