Patch Picks: Super Bowl Crawl

Super Bowl Sunday is right around the corner.  Have you found the perfect place to watch the Steelers take on the Packers? Here's a list of hot spots in the area to catch the Big Game.

●   -  If you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere with a local crowd and good food, stop by our neighborhood bar and restaurant.  It has an extensive menu with tasty options, including buffalo wings, steak hoagies and BBQ meatloaf.  Tavern House also offers a good selection of beers on tap, as well as, mixed drinks.  Big screen TVs are strategically placed throughout the bar so every seat in the house is a good one. You can also take advantage of the pool tables during long breaks.

●   - Located in Ellington, Case's was voted “Best Choice” in Tolland County by readers of Connecticut Magazine. It has BBQ Sunday, with baby back ribs, pulled pork and more. There's a full bar and plenty of TVs to watch the big game.

●  - Straddling the Vernon-Manchester line, Shea’s boasts 36 big screen TV’s.  They offer American fare, plus nachos, quesadillas and fried onion rings, which can be enjoyed while watching the game. On Super Bowl Sunday, Coors Light and Blue Moon Drafts are a $1 off, and there is a special on wings.

●  - Not up to hosting a super bowl party at home? Grab your friends and head over to Manchester's The Hungry Tiger. It's hosting Super Bowl party and offering some great specials. Burger and pork sliders are $2 all day, and wings are just 50 cents.  Need a beer to wash it all down?  How about a Bud Light draft for just a dollar? Sit back and enjoy the game on the six foot big screen with surround sound.

● T.G.I. Fridays - T.G.I. Fridays, at 209 Hale Rd. in Manchester, encourages you to bring your game face. When you spend $15 and up, you score $5 off—get your coupon online. With a full bar and game day specials on buffalo wings, a half-rack of baby back ribs, the Ultimate margarita and more, this should be a action-packed atmosphere to watch the Bowl.
