Yesterday, we began our first , led by Tolland Patch's new Moms Council. The women brought up some great food for thought. Please feel free to continue the discussion in the comments until next Wednesday's new topic is introduced. And if there are any fathers, grandparents or other caregivers who want to join the council, we don't discriminate—just send us an email.

Back to mothers, the at the Tolland Public Library from 10 a.m. to noon today. The MOMS Club is an organization for stay-at-home moms to lend each other support, share ideas about children’s activities and educate through classes, seminars and workshops. Come find out what they’re all about—and you are welcome to bring your children.

Get ready for more virtual entertainment at the senior center today. Want to learn how to use a computer, or improve upon skills you already have? Come to a at 9 a.m.

If you’re ready to swing back and have some fun, roll some virtual balls done the senior center lanes in at 1p.m. Using your aim and swing power, the entertainment center takes the weight work out of it for you to hit pins on the screen. If you’ve never tried me, trust me—it’s a ball of fun.

There’s a new generation of knitters out there, and they’re bringing the sassy hip to hipster. This evening, is hosting a beginner’s night of knitting with complementary smoothie, music and socializing with new friends.  The fun begins at 6 p.m. Click  for more details.

There’s a at the library just in time for Valentine’s Day. From 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., children ages 2 to 8 are invited to hear valentine’s-themed stories and then make their own cards. Kids can come in their pajamas and bring a favorite stuffed animal.

Town residents are encouraged to attend tonight’s to learn more about the BOE budget,  as well as hear preliminary information on the status of the overall town budget. Come to the Fire Training Center at 7:30 p.m. and contribute your input on suggesting funding levels and budget changes for the next fiscal year.

Tomorrow night, there will be a “Music For Your Heart with ‘Mr. Gym’” American Heart Association Fundraiser at the Birch Grove Primary School gymnasium. Mr. Keithan aka “Mr. Gym” and the AHA have teamed up for a night of music and movement.
