With about a year to go until Tolland's 300th anniversary, the committee planning to mark the milestone is seeking more volunteers.

All interested Tolland residents are invited to attend a Tolland 300th Anniversary Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Tolland Recreation Center (formerly Parker Memorial School).

Attendees will hear about plans for the anniversary and have a chance to sign up for committees that interest them, including the communications, Charter Day, gala, parade and town-wide picnic committees.

Anyone interested in volunteering who cannot attend the meeting may contact secretary Kate Farrish at katefarrish@live.com or at 860-871-8089.

For more information, visit tolland300.org, follow the 300th anniversary on Tolland Patch or "like" the 300th anniversary page on Facebook.
