Tolland Celebrating 'Take Your Child to The Library Day' on Feb. 1

Students from Tolland High School's World Language Club will be reading.

The third-annual statewide "Take Your Child to The Library Day" will be celebrated locally on Saturday, Feb. 1.

It will be a day of parent and child fun at the Tolland Public Library.

Events are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. with an hour-long multilingual story time presented by students from Tolland High School's World Language Club.

Young people 3 and older can find out how Curious George and other classics sound in other languages.

From 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. young readers in the first grade and higher can meet R.E.A.D. Dog Molly, a registered R.E.A.D therapy dog, who helps young readers gain confidence.

A Letterboxing puzzle will be in the Children’s Department all day to solve.
