Town officials on Thursday posted the rules for the new artificial turf field at Tolland High School.
The field is to be dedicated Friday before the THS football game.
The first ball is scheduled to be kicked off at 6:30 p.m.
The following are prohibited from the field and track areas, town officials said:
• Dogs and other animals.
• Soda, sports drinks, coffee or any beverage other than water.
• Food of any kind.
• Smoking or the use of any type of tobacco product.
• Sharp objects of any kind.
• Metal cleats.
• Golf.
• Grills, cooking equipment and glass of any kind.
• Unauthorized vehicles, bicycles or scooters.
• Marking lines.
Town officials said the field is for permitted play only.
