Tolland Rec Department Preparing for Second Year of After-School Program
It is accepting deposits for the 2014-15 school year.
The popular after-school program sponsored by the Tolland Recreation Department is accepting deposits for the 2014-15 school year.
The program was created last spring and open to students in grades 3 through 8. It offers a variety of activities for all ages.
The program is run out of the Recreation Center. Participants are met at Tolland Intermediate School and walked up to our building by our staff.
Transportation is available from the Middle School. The program runs Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 6 p.m.
Parents have the option of signing children up for three, four or five days per week.
The program has the use of multiple classrooms for the different age groups, as well as the gymnasium and athletic fields outside. Program participants have the opportunity to work on their homework, enjoy some quiet time, have a snack and then expend some energy participating in games and sports either in the gym or outside when the weather allows.
To hold a spot for the next school year, the Recreation Department is currently accepting a non-refundable $100 deposit.
