Town Honors Local Student For Winning Fire Prevention Poster Contest

The town has honored a local student for winning the Connecticut Fire Prevention Poster Contest.

Fifth-grader Emily Bliss was called to the front of the room at Tuesday's Town Council meeting during which Chairman Jack Scavone read a proclamation praising her efforts.

Assistant Public Safety Director Doug Racicot commended her poster.
