Valentine's Day: Is It Worth It?

Love it or hate it, there's no escaping the holiday today. 

For some, the day conjures up fond memories of love and togetherness with a spouse, significant other or family members. Others lament the "holiday" as one manufactured purely by greeting card and chocolate companies, and hate that they feel "obligated" to splurge on gifts as a way to show their affection. 

Patch spent a day recently asking locals for their thoughts on the Valentine's Day holiday, and the answers we got run the gamut from sweet and sentimental to  sarcastic and silly, but show that everyone definitely has an opinion on the day.
