If you’re looking for a dog with a "sweet, exuberant personality,” D.B. may be the pup that will make your family melt and want to adopt him.
The 4-year-old Terrier and pit bull mix "has boundless energy" and is a real "charmer," according to Connecticut Humane Society officials. And he loves to play fetch and be outside.
"What a great companion he'll make in an active household," according to the society’s website. "He'd love to accompany you on hikes or run around in the back yard. And he'll also love your hugs and want to give you lots of them in return."
D.B. is being trained and will need to continue that training when he is adopted, according to humane society officials. He would be a great companion for children older than 12, as well as other pets, they said.
If you are interested in D.B. or any of the other animals at the Connecticut Humane Society, log onto its website to see a gallery of all the adoptable pets and to learn about the adoption rules and procedures.
A 9-year-old domestic shorthair Max is also available for adoption.
The Connecticut Humane Society is located at 701 Russell Rd. in Newington and its phone number is (800) 452-0114. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
