What’s On For the Weekend For Feb. 11-13

1. RHYTHMIC CIRCUS

Where/When: Lake View Restaurant Bar & Grill at 50 Lake St. in Coventry, 9:30 p.m.-2 a.m.

Why Go:  Come support local musicians! A longtime Tolland resident and alumnus is the guest drummer for this groove rock/funk/soul band. With a great following from the Greater Hartford area, the band's music is sure to get you on your feet and dancing. 

Price: No cover

Where/When: Outside of , on Saturday, Feb. 12, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Why Go: Ice skating, horse-drawn carriage, storytelling, crafts, ice sculptures, a cappella, and fun for the whole family—need we say more?

Price: Free, though visitors are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or a household necessity for the Town of Mansfield Human Services' Food Pantry

Where/When:  at 1305 Mapleton Ave, Suffield on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m.

Why Go: These one-act comedies, include two by Chekhov, capture the bumpy, “Love and War” road of romance.

Pricing: $17 for regular admission.  $2.00 discount for Seniors (62+) and Students

Where/When: Rentschler Field, 615 Silver Lane, East Hartford on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m.

Why Go: Now that the NFL season is officially over, come show support for your local colleges by watching UConn Men’s Hockey face off against Sacred Heart University.

Price: $25-$95.50, including fees.

Where/When:  inside the Buckland Hills Shopping Mall in Manchester on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.

Why Go: Raised by hippies in California, where he lay awake to his mother’s samba band…isn’t that perfect material from which a comedian to build? Mandel won Comedy Central’s “Open Mic Fight” in 2007 and starred in all eight episodes of the cult hit show, “Reality Bites Back.” He was also chosen to play one of the leads in a new sitcom pilot for FOX by the creators of “Will and Grace.”
