Zumba Dance Party, Softball Tryouts, Lively Up Your Communications

In Tolland today, there are softball tryouts at the middle school, a communications workshop at the library, a meeting of Tolland Junior Women's club and more from the Birch Grove spring concert season.

Feel like dancing your way into this Tuesday morning?  Join the “dance party” of . The aerobic class at Star Hill Family Athletic Center is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Non-members are welcome for $8 per session. 

Or for a gentler start to the day, stretch and balance your way at the senior center with low-impact  class at 9 a.m. Let's have a show of hands if you're an ace at cards? If not, you can at least have fun trying later this afternoon. begin at 1 p.m.

If you have a preschool-aged child who loves a good tale, then drop by the public library for a , 10:15 a.m.-11 a.m. You can nurture their love for literature young, while older children are taking advantage of the at Birch Grove Primary School. Today the fair runs from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the school library.

Today is the first day of softball tryouts at . Encourage your kids to step up to bat and show ‘em what they've got from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. today.

The Water Pollution Control Authority at 6 p.m. at Hicks Municipal Memorial Center. On the agenda is the proposed multi-unit residential development at 48 Merrow Road, as well as contract negotiations for the Route 195 Sewer Project and the topics for the March 17 workshop. Birch Grove Primary School continues its for the spring season. Tonight, the classes of Miss McDonald and Mrs. J. Moynihan will be performing at 6:15 p.m. At 7:15 p.m., the students of Mrs. Gonzalez & Mrs. Beaulieu will perform. Students in the 6:15 p.m. performance are asked to report to the stage by 6:00pm, 7 p.m. for the 7:15 p.m. Concerts are expected to last between 20-25 minutes.

Those who get ahead in the business world and in the community at large are usually the most effective communicators.  To learn how to flex your muscle of communication, attend the workshop at the Tolland Public Library, 7 p.m.-9 p.m.

Tolland Junior Women's Club holds its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the on the Tolland Green. All are welcome to attend. You can learn about the things they have planned for the next few months, including the golf Tolland Teezer in spring.
