Good Pennyworths To Perform On WHUS 91.7 fm / WHUS.org

Arts of Tolland is pleased to announce a very special cultural performance that will be held at the Arts Center of Tolland, 22 Tolland Green, Tolland, CT by the quartet THE GOOD
PENNYWORTHS. This very exiting one-act performance will be held on Saturday evening, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. 

As a special treat, you will be able to hear the quartet perform ahead of time on WHUS 91.7 fm (or WHUS.org) on a program called "Fiat Flux" which airs from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.  DJ/radio programmer Crystal Hayes will have them in the studio at WHUS for a performance and interview.

 THE GOOD PENNYWORTHS have delighted audiences across the country with their playful and    dramatic interpretations of 16th and 17th Century lute songs, folk ballads and theatre songs. THE 
GOOD PENNYWORTHS will be performing the hour-long show, Songs From Shakespeare: True Love Never Did Run Smooth. The show features a full-length script adapted entirely from Shakespeare text in which each song is connected to the next in an overall story arc. 

 THE GOOD PENNYWORTHS are a vocal quartet with lute accompaniment from NYC and were founded in 2007 to explore lute songs and traditional folk ballads with dramatic flair. The group’s concert programs feature quartets, duets and solo songs, engagingly staged to bring out the laughter and passion contained in these songs. THE GOOD PENNYWORTHS are: Bariton Garald Farnham- artistic director and Lute player; Soprano Erika Lloyd; Mezzo Soprano Alane Marco; and singer/actor Tenor Christopher Preston Thompson.
