Halloween Crafts

Add a bit of fun to your home this Halloween season. These projects are simple to put together and inexpensive.

Recycled Can Halloween Crafts are fun to create. All you need are a few soda or juice cans, some paint, markers and cardboard. Most of us have these items around the house, so you can make many of these for very little money. Hang them from the trees to add a bit festivity.

Candy Wrapper Decoupage is a great way to add a bit of flair to a kids room. Halloween candy or gum wrappers are adhered to switchplates in whatever design or pattern you please. Once the pattern is complete use Mod Podge, gel sealer or diluted white school glue to seal the design. Let your creative juices flow, and see how many different design/color combinations you can come up with.

Juice Box Monsters can be cute or scary. Let your creative juices flow while designing your monster. Use stars, polka dots, fangs, etc. as facial features. Make a bunch of these to line the mantel, railing or stairs. Feel free to use felt in any color you would like.

Pumpkin Rolls will add a bit of flair to any room of the house. Supplies are minimal and inexpensive. Buy several pieces of fabric in different orange shades or designs for some variety. These are quick to put together and really cute.

Halloween Handprint Banners showcase all members of your family. Have each child trace their hand on a piece of construction paper and cut it out.  Parents can also trace and cut out their hands. After the hands are cut out, each child should make a face to place on their hand. Glue the hands to the rectangular-shaped banner and add whatever caption you desire. The instructions call for specific colors of construction paper, however, you may choose whatever colors you like. Younger children may need help and/or supervision.
