Workers on Tuesday were busy fashioning the artificial turf field at the Tolland High School Athletic Complex.
Crews were working on the base to the new field at the main stadium. The million-dollar project is being funded through grants and public and private money.
The field is scheduled to be officially dedicated on Sept. 20 at the THS home football opener.
