Breathe...more Celebrates Five Years in Tolland

Founder Cherie Trice talks about bringing yoga and pilates to Tolland.

If Tolland has seemed a little more peaceful and engaged in the present over the last five years, residents can probably give credit to , which is celebrating its fifth birthday this July.

Founder and instructor Cherie Trice said that she was inspired to open the yoga and pilates studio in 2007 because she wanted to bring local and affordable classes to Tolland.

"I was tired of having to get on the highway to take a yoga class," Trice said. "To get out of a yoga class and to hit rush hour traffic is really not fun."

However, Trice said that she will always look for new ways to help Tolland relax.

"I love the "a-ha" moments when people just really melt in class," she said. For her, providing those "blissed-out moments" makes the work truly worthwhile, she added.

Breathe...more marked its big anniversary with a yoga dance celebration on Friday, July 20, with free yoga classes available the following day.
