Mark Summers Honored with Citizen Planning Award

Summers was recognized for his work with energy efficiency and green initiatives at his business, CNC Software.

Tolland resident and CNC Software owner Mark Summers earned a Citizen Planner of the Year award from the Connecticut chapter of the American Planning Association for his green, energy-efficient initiatives at his business.

"The CNC building sits on a little farm, so we grow a bit of food," Summers said of the business' community gardens, one of a number of green initiatives on the CNC Software campus.

To Summers, it always seemed natural to incorporate energy saving technology at work.
