Simplified Energy Solutions Launches New Battery Transportation System

An update on the start up company, which is a veteran of the Nerac XCellR8 brainstorming process.

Connecticut start up Simplified Energy Solutions may be new to the technology scene, but the Columbia-based business recently announced that is has already launched a new lithium ion battery shipping system, with the help of Ion Energy Technology, of Stonington, Conn.

CEO Michael Curtis was in Tolland recently as a participant in Nerac's monthly XCellR8 meetings, where local business leaders and experts provided him feedback on his business model.

While the XCellR8 meeting focused on Simplified Energy Solution's interest in developing bio-coal pellets for home heating, the business' latest launch of SaveShip technology will allow for large-scale shipping of lithium ion batteries and commissioning of the shipments, according to a press release.

"The patent pending SafeShip technology gives SES Li-ion products a margin of safety that cannot be found in any other large scale Li-ion battery product," Curtis said. The batteries are made in the United States.
