The Homestead Brings Local Crafters Together

The Homestead building on Tolland Green is a landmark in town and has been for centuries . 

And since it has become a local symbol throughout its long history in town, it's only fitting that is also a gathering place for local farmers and crafters to sell their goods.

"I actively advertised for crafters to have their work here," said owner Judy Shaffer, who recently . She said that, at her peak, she was selling goods from 120 different crafters.

"I really try to find crafters that are local," she said. "That's where I started and where I've tried to stay over the years."
