Tolland Big Y Open with Reduced Staff

With many employees unable to make it through the snow, the Tolland store is offering basic grocery and store supplies Saturday.

The Tolland Big Y is open and running with a reduced number of employees Saturday, as Connecticut begins the massive snow clean up process.

Store Manager Ben Davis said that Big Y will be open until 11 p.m. Customers can buy basic groceries and store supplies, but the pharmacy and seafood and deli departments are not open, Davis said.

Gov. Dannel Malloy issued a travel ban on Friday afternoon.
