Tolland resident Raymond J. Sprague has been named a featured speaker at the 10th Annual Partners in Achievement Breakfast.

The event, dedicated to supporting the financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship programs of Junior Achievement, will be held on Friday, May 17 at the Hartford Marriott Downtown, according to a news release.

Sprague currently serves as senior vice president of Small Commercial insurance for The Hartford, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Southwest New England.

Junior Achievement's mission is to "educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise and understand business and economics to improve the quality of their lives," according to the organization's Web site.

“The Hartford is proud to support Junior Achievement and its programs that help to develop a talented, qualified and diverse workforce,” Sprague said in a prepared statement.

“We applaud JA’s mission to empower young people to own their economic success," he added.
