Expect Freezing Rain With the Morning Commute

Freezing rain is predicted for Northern Connecticut early Monday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for northern Connecticut early Monday morning.

Areas of freezing rain are expected to develop between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. Morning commuters should exercise caution on slippery roads, which may be icy with freezing morning temperatures. Accumulations of a trace to less than a tenth of an inch of ice are expected.

By mid-morning, the weather will change over to rain. Three quarters to an inch of rain is expected, which poses flood concern issues, especially paired with potential snow melts.
