Local Residents Missing Chihuahua Named Roo

Four local dogs went missing on Feb. 20. Three were found, but a Chihuahua named Roo is still missing.

On the evening of Feb. 20, local residents lost their four dogs. Three Jack Russell mixes and a Chihuahua went missing from the area of Merrow Road and Baxter Street. The owner was informed that the Chihuahua was spotted at the at 128 Merrow Rd. around 9 p.m.

“The owner was told the Chihuahua was seen and possibly picked up by a motorist that evening and that the person was going to contact Animal Control,” said Animal Control Officer Tina Binheimer. ”However, we didn’t receive any call.”

According to Binheimer, the owner contacted all area Animal Controls, posted flyers and spoke to neighbors. Those efforts resulted in the return of the three Jack Russell mixes. Unfortunately, the Chihuahua is still missing.
