Photo Gallery: Crandall Park Planter Contest

Tolland residents used their talents to beautify in a planter contest, run by the Tolland Recreation Department.

The entries line the parking lot adjacent to Cider Mill Road. According to Recreation Director Tom Ainsworth, the winners are:

1. Jan and Jeff Dahms

2. Pauline Sardo of Accountable to You

3. The Scofield Family

"It is very gratifying that people like you are willing to step up and get involved," Ainsworth said of the participants. "Your generosity is matched only by your creativity."

He said that the contest will likely run again next year.
