What to Do in Tolland This Weekend: Dec. 7 - 9

The fifth annual Tolland Idol is slated for Friday evening.

1. Tolland High School students will show off their lip-synching and dancing skills at the fifth installment of Tolland Idol. Tolland Idol 5: Numero Synco starts at 7 p.m. Friday and costs $5 admission. Check out the fun from last year on Tolland Patch!

2. Remember to order and pick up your holiday cookie platter, courtesy of the Friends of the Tolland Public Library annual sale. Bakers can drop off cookies they would like to donate until noon on December 7 and volunteers are needed to help assemble the platters on Friday afternoon. The platter sale starts Saturday at 10 a.m. at the library. Each platter costs $12. Reserve a platter before Saturday.

4. Recharge with Sunday at 9 a.m. The class costs $16.

5. A number of Tolland dancers are performing in Connecticut Concert Ballet's Nutcracker, showing this Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Manchester High School.
