Tolland School Board Race Settled - No Recount

There will be no recount in the 2013 Tolland Board of Education race, the registrars of voters said on Wednesday. 

Democratic Registrar Michael Wyman said he and Republican Registrar Ken Houck worked with the respective town committee chairs, who, in turn, spoke with the candidates who would be affected by a recount. 

"All candidates have waived their rights to a re-canvass. As such, no re-canvass will take place and the town clerk will proceed with certifying the Election," Wyman and Houck said in a joint statement.

Wyman said that leaves the Democrats with a 5-4 majority.
