Arts of Tolland pressents an Exhibit by Blanche Serban. "Color and Invention"

Arts of Tolland Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of recent New England paintings by Blanche Serban. The Exhibition is open and will remain on view through October 27, 2013.
“This show is an experiment, bringing together a collection of New England landscapes. From forests to trees to barns and towns, there is a progression of structure and technique. While oil paintings are dominant, other mediums are explored – pastel, pigment, acrylic, sand, wax. The colors are applied by brush or knife, they are poured or splattered, they are vibrated through scrubbing or layering or scratching. The result is a vivid body of work fusing memory, experience, and invention.” Gallery hours will continue for the month of October on Sundays 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesdays 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.  The exhibit will be held at the Arts Center of Tolland, 22 Tolland Green, Tolland, CT. For directions or further information, call Arts of Tolland at (860) 871-7405. AOT is a non-profit arts organization; the Arts Center is handicapped accessible.
