– an illuminated interaction with recycled steel

PULSE .  asks you to take a step back, but to look within

PULSE . defines movement and flow

PULSE . defines fast and slow

PULSE . is what makes us go

These pieces of recycled illumination never shut down, they never stop. Some, in a frenzy - some relaxed - the rest, do nothing without you there to make it happen. We all have our reasons for a medical center visit - enjoy the light around you...

enjoy your PULSE

Mark grew up in Connecticut and his life has always been engulfed in the creation and building of new things.  Studying Industrial Design was a natural entry into a world of invention, design and manufacturing of goods from consumer electronics to medical equipment.

His entrepreneurial drive keeps him busy with a variety businesses he owns and manages, with offices in Waterbury and West Hartford, Connecticut.

Mark torches, bends, welds, and shapes metal into original works from candy dishes to wall sconces.

His illuminated pieces are sometimes activated by sound or motion creating a fun, interactive experience. Materials include rusted steel sheets, automobile exhaust piping, and steel plating.  By recycling this old, founded steel; Mark gives this material new meaning, a new life really. He also has been creating a series of anatomical pieces with active illumination called BIO-LECTRICs.

Mark says:

" Every fabrication is an original, signed piece and many out there still love the crazy table lamps of founded steel...However, watch for the growth of high impact, large commercial installations - this is just the beginning; It's been TONS of fun, but it's about to get a lot HEAVIER!"
