Victorian Christmas Open House

Start your holiday season with a visit to the Hicks Museum for a glimpse of how Christmas was celebrated in a bygone era.  Chat with a Victorian Santa dressed in his appropriate long, green robe and don't forget your cameras.  Period decorations add to the festive mood along with delicious refreshments.  The gift shop has many new items including a large variety of affordable ornaments, votives, decorations specialty cookbooks, stocking stuffers and much more.  Be the first to buy our new "preserve the memories" books for grandparents, parents and tots.  The Medieval attired Stafford High School Madrigals will perform from 12 to 1 on Saturday.  Admire the gingerbread houses created by area people and groups - will you create one for the contest?  In this season of giving, the non-profit Museum will not be charging an admission fee. Donations appreciated. Hours are from 11 to 4 on December 1st (prior to the tree lighting) and from 11 to 2 on December 2nd.
