Joshua's Trust Skungamaug Meadows Walk

Skungamaug Meadows Walk

Please join Joshua's Trust Trustee and Steward Eric Thomas for a winter walk at Skungamaug Meadows Preserve on Saturday, January 25th at 10:00 am. This is a winter season stroll sprinkled with local natural history and some preserve management examples. The hike is considered moderate difficulty as the initial access to the property has a steep, uneven slope that will lead to mostly open fields and woodlands. There is not a formal trail on this preserve. Boots and warm layered clothing is recommended. Optional - bring a camera or binoculars. RSVP encouraged. This event will be cancelled in the event of heavy snow. To check on event status, call (860) 930-7515 or email waterthames@yahoo.com. From Route 195 in Tolland, turn South onto Goose Lane and travel 1.3 miles to Lemek Lane. Turn right onto Lemek Ln. and park in the cul-de-sac without blocking residential driveway entrances. Walkers will gather nearby at the Preserve wood road access.
