Old Tolland County Jail and Museum

You Are Invited…

Come to the Old Tolland County Jail & Museum on the
Tolland Green to see our collection of artifacts from throughout Tolland’s
history and experience what life would have been like for Tolland’s previous
residents. An assortment of hats from the 1800s through the early 1900s is among
the displays. Our knowledgeable student interns are always available and eager to
give guided tours. We often have special events to
delight the family on Sundays during the summer.  They include butter churning, ice cream
making, children’s games, weaving demonstrations, oxen rides, story tellers,
and speakers on topics of the period.  Check
our web site at www.tollandhistorical.org for a schedule. Demonstration
and lessons are on-going weekly in the shed.

There are opportunities to help on Sunday afternoons and
Wednesday mornings at the museum.  Please
contact Museum Director, Kathy Bach at 860.872.7716 to volunteer your time or donate
your treasures.
