Electronics Recycling Event on Tap for Saturday at Tolland High School

It is being sponsored by Venture Crew 422, which is affiliated with the Boy Scouts.

Did the 8-Track player finally give out? Hopefully, that Soul Train compilation album can be found in some digital database. 

But what to do with the player itself? 

Well, a local non-profit group, Venture Crew 422 - affiliated with the Boy Scouts - has scheduled a residential electronics recycling collection event for Saturday - April 27 - at Tolland High School.

The one-day event is slated to run from 9 a.m. to noon.

The goal of the drive is to put 95 percent of all materials collected in a program to be recycled for remanufacture. "No recycled materials will be incinerated, land-filled, or shipped abroad to be dumped," the group said.
