·It rarely works to say to your teenage son, “You’re spending too much time watching TV. Do something else.” It is more effective to say, “Hey, let’s go play basketball together.” Or “Hey, your uncle and I are going fishing next weekend; we would love for you to come with us.”

 

·Teen boys should be practicing self-soothing, communication skills, intimacy and sexual awareness.
