The Tolland Fire Department’s Explorer Post will be selling freshly-cut, locally grown Christmas trees and wreaths on weekends at the Fire Department Training Center located at 191 Merrow Road.
The schedule is:
• Saturdays - Dec. 7, 14 and 21 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Sundays - Dec. 8, 15 and 22 from noon to 6 p.m.
The Tolland Fire Department Explorers post is comprised of young men and women ages 14 to 18 who have an interest in learning about the fire-rescue-emergency Medical fields.
They train alongside Tolland Fire Department volunteers and career staff at a junior level and participate in many community-based activities.
Proceeds will help the Explorers pay for things like certification fees, study materials, uniforms and first-responder gear.
