Win for Tolland Juniors in "Best of Three" Series

The Tolland Juniors won a close game against Edgewood, with a final score of 6-5.

The Tolland Junior All-Stars played the first of three games against Edgewood Sunday afternoon and, after a close game, took the win. The final score was Tolland 6, Edgewood 5.

The starting pitcher for Tolland was Nick Paasch. Eric Gottier took over in the fourth inning to close out the game. Both players kept the heat coming to build on the team's defense.

The boys started off the game in the lead, with singles from Andrew Clokey and Corey Domingos to get the Tolland's first three runs. Then in the bottom of the second, Edgewood came back to tie the game.

Tolland scored another run in the top of the third on a single from Matt Curtis. The score remained in their favor until the bottom of the fifth, when Edgewood once again tied the game.

In the sixth inning, Thomas Slane and Domingos drove in two more runs, putting a total of six on the board for the Tolland All-Stars. Edgewood scored another run in the bottom of the inning, but Tolland held fast and ended the game 6-5 in the seventh.

This is Tolland's first win of their "best of three" series against Edgewood. Tomorrow night's game will start at 5:30 PM in Orange, CT.
