TEPTO Spring Fling is a BIG Hit!

Fun was had by all at this special event sponsored by TEPTO!

In just a few hours on Saturday, May 19th, was transformed into a children's fair filled with food, fun, and festivities! Families came to enjoy bounce houses, a Tolland Fire Truck and a CT State Police S.W.A.T. vehicle to explore, all kinds of games, and of course, the ever popular Dunk Tank where kids (and adults!) got to dunk the principals from and Tolland Intermediate Schools....and the line continued all day!  At the food tent, volunteers served up hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and plenty of drinks to keep the heat of the day away. Cotton candy, popcorn, pretzels, and frozen fruit bars helped supply that fun fair food! The CT Chung Do Kwan Academy demonstrated their moves for the crowd. Mrs. Grinold's "Green Team" brought lots of attention to their "Pedal-A-Watt" bike where people got to experience pedal-power!  Inside, what once was a classroom, turned into... a Book Nook where families were able to purchase inexpensive books for their collections, Face Painting, Make-A-Craft, Sand Art, a Surprize Wall, and a Makeover Room!

The cafeteria was overflowing with activity...Cupcake Decorating, homemade goodies at the Sweet Shop, Penny Candy Store, Cake Decorating Competition, and an amazing display of raffle baskets which are donated by our classrooms and assembled by our Room Parent volunteers!  Other raffle items included a football signed by Nate Solder and donated by the Patriots organization, an autographed picture of Dustin Pedroia donated by the Boston Red Sox organization, and a child's bike donated by Friends of Tolland Schools. There were a lot of lucky winners!

This day could never take place without the help of many of our community organizations, and the over 70 volunteers that made it all happen!  TEPTO would like to thank the following for all their help with Spring Fling 2012:
