Tolland 12 Year-Old All-Stars Defeat Suffield 7 to 3

Another exciting game for Tolland's local 12-Year Old All-Stars!

The Tolland 12 year-old All-Star team defeated Suffield All-Stars 7 to 3 at Christian Field in Suffield Saturday afternoon in the District 8 double elimination tournament. Jason Clough and Kyle Boutot combined to pitch for the win, while Boutot led the hit attack with two solo homers. Luke Adlerstein and Andrew Jaworski provided some muscle by going deep to help Tolland's offense. Steven Busch led Tolland's defense with an excellent play in left field. For Suffield, Nate Roy homered and provided some excellent pitching. Jeremy Greer did a great job on the mound as well. At the time of this blog, Tolland's next game is Monday, but we do not know who our opponent will be or the location of the game. Stay tuned to Tolland Patch and this blog for the update!

Next game is Monday 7/16 at Lion's field, 6:00pm against South Windsor. If the Tolland team wins...they will be the District 8 Champions!! This All-Star team has done a tremendous job and we need more local fans to come down to the field to cheer on the boys! Join us!

Congratulations and good luck tonight, boys! Tolland has much to be proud of as we are hosting not one, but TWO District 8 championship games tonight. The Junior Division All-Stars (ages13&14) take on Ellington at Cross Farms (5:30 start) for the chance to capture the District 8 title for the second year in a row! They have had a strong run through the tournament and have been lots of fun to watch!

Thank you Diane! I did not know about the Junior Division! Yes...Tolland should be very proud of our youth who are dedicated to their sport, teammates and coaches. I would also like to take this time to thank all the coaches who have volunteered their time to all the teams! I wish I could be at both games tonight! Good luck everyone! I will try to do a blog that will update our Patch audience on both games!
