Tolland Historical Society Museums are participating again this season in the national effort begun by National Endowment for the Arts, called the Blue Star Museums. Simply put, participating museums offer free admission to active duty personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends. In Tolland, we are extending the benefit until the end of our season, October 2nd.
We appreciate the sacrifices of our active duty troops and this is a small way to give back to them. This year nearly 1,500 museums are providing a haven from the daily worries for military families in the absence of their loved ones.
