Candle Cafe Brown Rice and Lentil Burgers (Restaurant in NY)
I was very excited to make this recipe because I have been at this restaurant before and it is so good!! Getting this recipe was a great treat!!!
I have been wanting to try a bean burger of some sort with the kids for quite some time now. There are SO many different types of burgers that I want to make so I will be making many different kinds in the future.

Overall verdict:
One child liked it more than the other, of course, but that is usually how it goes. Also, one eats it plain and the other added toppings so I think that makes a big difference. As for everyone else...treat it like a regular beef burger with all the fix-ins and it is so yummy.
Suggestions- I made the lentils and rice the day before so it really helped in prep time. Many times I make extra and use it the next day in another recipe.
Follow directions as it says and you should be fine.
The only tricky part is making the burgers. I couldn't really get them to form a round patty so I ended up putting some on the sheet and then pressing it out to form a circle. The batter is very sticky...maybe add a bit more flour to prevent it from sticking so much.
