Come on Down to Rockville's National Night Out

All of this can be found in and around Tolland today, August 2, 2011.

1. According to Weather.com, the Tolland forecast calls for sunshine with a high of 86˚F. Tonight, skies will be clear with a low of 60˚F.

2. The Rockville Community Alliance is sponsoring downtown Rockville’s annual . The event is presented by the Vernon Police Department, Vernon Community Network and Vernon Parks and Recreation Department, as well. Local businesses, including Patch, will have booths set up. 3. If you’re looking to cool off and still get in a workout, head to the Mansfield Community Center for a . Participants can perform the underwater exercises using either the deep or shallow ends of the pool. The program starts at 8:30 a.m. and costs $59-$64 for members and $79-$86 for non-members.

4. Learn a different skill at The Inspiration Station’s in Stafford Springs. The class costs $30. Participants can attend the 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. class. To register, visit The Inspiration Station’s Web site or call 860-684-2641.

5. The Lutz Children’s Museum in Manchester is offering a class inspired by Eric Carle animal stories. The class, for children ages 3 to 5, will feature activities and artwork centered around Carle’s book The program starts at 1 p.m. and costs $13 for members and $15 for non-members.
