Kats ‘n’ Jammers to Perform at Music on the Green in Tolland

As part of the Music on the Green Concert Series, Kats ‘n’ Jammers, a 16-piece swing band will present a concert of swing music in Tolland on Sunday, May 18, at 3:30 p.m., at the United Congregational Church, 45 Tolland Greenin Tolland.

This group has been in existence for seven years.  They have an extensive and ever growing library of music, and include local musicians who have broad professional and educational experience in Connecticut.   The group hasperformed for private parties, city and town concert series, church and public fund raisers, and benefit performances.

They have performed in the towns of Manchester, Tolland, Newington andPortland CT; and Holden & Winchester MA.  They are an annual guest for the Ray Beller’s Music Scholarship performance at Shea’s in Manchester.

The band’s music library is based on the Big Band sounds of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Lionel Hampton; Benny Goodman, Sammy Nestico; Cole Porter and many others.
