Readers' Choice: Headliners Is the Best Hair Salon in Tolland & Mansfield

The competition for the readers' choice in Tolland and Mansfield was tight. Readers posted more than 200 comments about their favorite salons in the area and many more reviews were posted on the salons' directory pages on Patch. 

But in the end, it was , a full service salon located on Merrow Road in Tolland, that readers chose as the best salon located within the two towns.

In support of Headliners, Pam Miler wrote: "I have utilized their make up consultants, massage therapists and hair stylists and have never been disappointed. Professional, great atmosphere, polished and competitive prices with great sales and promotions."

When invited to for the Patch readers' choice poll, Althea wrote: "I was new to the area and it took me a few years to find a salon that I felt comfortable enough to return to after the first cut, until I found Headliners. It's been 6 years since I found them and I'm hooked."

Other local favorite favorites that received multiple recommendations include and , also located in Tolland.

Of Salon Gio, Carra wrote: "I without hesitation choose Salon Gio! I love the style and atmosphere; I am relaxed and pampered as soon as I walk in the door. Getting your hair done is not just that, its therapy to us! :)"

And of The Style Room, Trisha wrote: "I look for personalized, warm and fuzzy service. You will not be disappointed!!!!!"

Located just outside of town, but clearly a favorite with readers, is Capelli Salon in Stafford Springs. Owner Chris Corsini has loyal clientele that showed their support by posting 78 comments praising the salon.

Mary Alice Paradiso wrote that Capelli "is by far the BEST salon ever! Chris is amazing and so talented. I would never think of going anywhere else."

Despite the competition, the owners of Capelli, The Style Room and Salon Gio also took to the comment section to praise the other salons' creativity and professionalism.
