Take a Dip on the Wild Side

Portland's Brownstone Exploration and Discovery Park a "must do" this summer!

Swimming, snorkeling, wakeboarding, paddleboards, inflatables and waterbikes... this barely touches the number of wet and wild activities available at Brownstone Exploration and Discovery Park, located in Portland, CT.

Water parks are a real refresher during these hot and humid New England months, and more and more people seem to be discovering - and drenching themselves - in the excitement of this park, which has been described as more of an "outdoor adventure sports" park.

Rock climbing, kayaking, cliff jumping, scuba diving, "Survivor" type obstacle courses, zip lines and hiking and biking trails offer something for everyone in this unique quarry with 100-foot freshwater depths and 85-foot brownstone walls.

If these activities sound a little extreme or intimidating, don't fret. There are plenty of low-key activities, as well, including the simple joy of lounging or swimming as your children explore all the age-appropriate inflatable "rides," slides and bouncy contraptions. There are even Friday Movie Nights on the beach.

For more details, including gazebo rentals, scuba lessons, Food Fest packages, special events, general swimming and group promotions, visit the park online at http://brownstonepark.com or call toll free at 866-860-0208.
