What's on Tonight: Peyton at His New Place

TV tips for Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012

NFL Football, 8:15 p.m., NBC
“Peyton Manning makes his first start as a member of the Denver Broncos when they host Coach Mike Tomlin's Steelers. From Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver.” Whatever all that means. I have no idea.

Broadway Or Bust, 8 p.m., PBS
“Sixty performers learn a new opening number, get one-on-one coaching by Broadway's top talent, and prepare for their solos.” Public television is doing a reality show! Yes! I knew eventually they would cave!

Web Therapy, 10:30 p.m., Showtime
Season finale. So funny. Although, if you don’t adore Lisa Kudrow, you won’t like it. Also, if you don’t like dark humor, or dry humor, or irony or satire, you won’t like it.

I admire your bravado in trying to peak some interest in television programming. The truth of the matter is with the exception of the sports fans there is "nothing on tonight or any other night". True Public Television, the CT station and Channel 14 public access are important to me but the state of our television broadcasting is pretty darn sad. I for one am tired of paying for it..
